ABOUT

ELIM Retreat Ministries is devoted to caring for the lives of global workers. ELIM offers six day retreats for local church leadership and missionaries for rest, recovery, reflection, recreation and renewal.

Some of our core values include:

• Securing safe, well-appointed and private retreat facilities in gorgeous natural settings
• Providing retreats in which Christian workers can truly be “off”
• Low key, intentional times of rest, recreation, learning, worship, and prayer and solitude.

MEET YOUR HOSTS

HENRY & DIANE STEWART

As a result of years as local church pastoral leaders and as servants to Global Workers as missionaries with Barnabas International, Henry and Diane launched ELIM Retreats under its own banner in 2025. 

• We are active and young-hearted folks in our 70’s.
• We have served in local church pastoral ministry for 28 years.
• We have served as “missionaries to missionaries” for 25 years.
• Our core calling is to serve Christian leaders.
• We have 3 married adult “children”, 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren.
• We are not licensed clinicians or therapists. We are pastoral counselors with long experience with the lives of vocational Christian servants. We offer preventative pastoral care and debriefing as story-telling.
• While confidentiality is guaranteed generally, Henry and Diane are mandated reporters.
• Diane is a licensed Pilates instructor. Henry is one of her many students. Henry loves to fish, study God’s Word, read history, play pickleball, enjoy a good bonfire. Diane loves to help people with nutrition and holistic personal health. We both love to mix with our family generations!
